A New Lamb

Finally, the late lambs! There will be a few this month. This is Cindy's 2008 edition, a little ram "Zackarian". The last babes of summer always get names with "Z". I never weighed him but he's small average - about 8-9 lbs.

I spun up the Sun Tea Blues earlier in the week. The colors muted down nicely when spun and plyed (approx. 190 yards).

And finally, a photo of a couple of the May lambs. We've had such good weather for them - it certainly is reflected in their health and vigor. The little ewe in the forground is "Baby 13's" lamb "Ava" and the young lad behind her is "Patrick" one of the quads (he has horns like his Shetland father "Finnegan" ).

Your sun tea blues yarn looks gorgeous Val.
All your little lambs look so sweet...wish I could pet them and touch their fleece. Patrick looks like his fleece has alot of potential :) I have just finished a skein of Toopy's yarn and I have to say that I luv that fleece.

Love the pictures of the lambs!! The Sun Tea Blues fleece spun up beautifully, love the way the colors spun together, is really hard to know when looking at dyed fleece how it will spin up. Hope you are having a great summer....it is going by too fast!!
