Circular Sock Knitting Machine

The antique Auto Knitter is around 80 years old. At first I could only knit long tubes. Then I would hand knit heels and toes .

A while ago, I sat down with the manual and went step by step through the process of making socks. All went well! Here is a pair that is made with some of my hand spun corriedale wool (2 ply - one ply white, and the other ply made from long color changes spot dyed on roving).

With HANDSPUN? Amazing. There is NOTHING you can't do once you've knit a pair of socks on a csm with your own handspun yarn.

P.S. They're beautiful!
